SlashCode is the name of the source code (available at http://www.slashcode.org )that supports the programming news site SlashDot. SLASH is supposedly an acronym for Slashdot Like Automated Storytelling Homepage. It uses Perl, Apache, and MySQL and stores information which is presented as a database-driven news and message board.
