OnlineCommunication

In software development, people have started to use email and newsgroups to communicate within the project team. These offer asynchronous and persisten modes of communication, which is considered a major benefit. As an example, the collection of all mails can be searched for answers to a particular question. On the downside, OnlineCommunication is missing ParaLanguage.

We are wasting a lot of time because one of our customers requires the developers to work on site: Wasting time commuting, adapting to a new desktop environment, installing local development environments on two machines. Furthermore, the people on the client side have difficulties communicating via email (too rude, too confused, easily provoked). -- AlexSchroeder
