Guessing there's some other page on Meatball for WelcomeNewcomer, one of the core WikiPractices, but creating this to get the SisterSites link from c2, and mention/link to [this great blog entry] at BlueOxen about DannyHorn implementing a welcome message whenever someone first edits a wiki; and measuring the results (increased registration, logging in, and editing).

That Wikia's idea is great indeed! I want it on Wikipedia (perhaps thanks to the power of WikiPedia:Special:AbuseFilter ?). --FedericoLeva
